When most people think of Labor Day sales, they think of furniture discounts. What they don’t immediately think about are kitchen-related sales for everything from flatware and cookware to kitchen appliances and countertops. And this year isn’t any different, as a few of our favorite brands and kitchen stores are offering some pretty sweet deals. Here’s our favorite labor days sales for the cooking enthusiast.
- Sur la table – If you’re a Sur la table fan (and why shouldn’t you be?), then this Labor Day sale will make you very happy. Deals go up to 75% and cover everything from cheese shredders to a fancy espresso machine. You can also pick up the basics: cookware, serving utensils, stemware, glassware, and kitchen linens.
- Williams Sonoma – Williams Sonoma is a great option for those unique kitchen gadgets that you wouldn’t normally think about getting, like an herb mill or colorful sandwich cutters (both of which are on sale). On top of that, they’re offering 40% off of books, linens, and select food items. Sounds like a good opportunity to try some of their james and sauces.
- Pier 1 – Pier 1 doesn’t exclusively focus on kitchenware, but they are offering 20% off of tablecloths and table runners. They’re also discounting glassware and stemware, along with some holiday and themed kitchen decor and utensils.
- Oneida – Foodies and people who want to buy food service quality cookware should head over to the Oneida labor day sale. Oneida is the American distributor for the Schonwald brand of dinnerware, and they’re offering 15% – 30% off of bakeware, flatware, dinnerware, and glassware.
- Lowe’s – Lowe’s is having one of the best Labor Day sales if you’re currently in the middle of a kitchen remodel. Their Kitchen Event takes 20% off appliances, kitchen cabinets, kitchen sinks, and kitchen countertops.
- Macy’s – Unsurprisingly, Macy’s labor day sale includes a mish mash of all kinds of kitchen gadgets, linens, small appliances, and cookware – including an almost full range of Cuisinart options. Discounts range from 10-15% off, which isn’t bad if there are some basic kitchen staples that you need to stock up on or replace.
