If you’re anything like 90% of people who make New Years resolutions, you’ve probably made a promise to yourself to get in shape this year and eat healthier. And right now, three to four months into the new year, is when people usually start to slide – trading in their healthy options for fast food or less healthy home cooking.

We can all use a little motivation from time to time, so when you feel like slipping up, pop over to one of these healthy food blogs that help make eating healthy fun and interesting. Here’s four that we love to peruse for food inspiration!

1. Kath Eats Real Food

Kathy is a nutritionist and food blogger and oatmeal lover (no really, she has an awesome tribute to oatmeal on her website) based in Charlottesville, Virginia who creates healthy, interesting, and delicious looking recipes. She also writes about other, broader lifestyle topics and has a series of helpful cooking and how-to videos.

2. Prevention RD

Nicole Morrissey is a registered dietician and a Director of Nutrition at a local hospital in the States. In order to stay on track with her own healthy eating goals, she began chronicling her quest to stay up-to-date on nutrition and ultimately began creating and trying out her own healthy recipes. Now, her site features tons of great recipes broken down my calorie counts, meal type, and other fun categories.

3. Sprouted Kitchen

Sprouted Kitchen is the brainchild of Sarah – a lover of simple ingredients and food that comes in its purest form. Her goal is to create recipes and meals that utilize fresh foods and natural ingredients like whole grains, natural sugars, and healthy fats. You can find a list of her recipes to browse through here.

4. Minimalist Baker

Sometimes the hardest part of staying on a healthy eating track is saying no to loads of delicious desserts that features just a tad bit too much butter and sugar. Enter: Minimalist Baker. John and Dana are a husband and wife team based out of Portland, Oregon who focus on creating simple desserts that can be made in 30 minutes or less and have minimal ingredients. Although the focus isn’t entirely on healthy eating, quite a few of the recipes do end up falling into the vegan category. Plus, they also feature savory recipes in addition to sweets.
